Blueberry Torte

2 c Fresh blueberries, washed, drained
1/2 Lime, juice of
3/4 c Sugar
3 tb Butter
1/2 c Milk
1 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
1 pn Salt

1 c Sugar
1 pn Salt
1 tb Cornstarch

Over All
1 c Boiling water

TORTE Spread blueberries in an oblong pyrex dish. Pour lime OR lemon juice over the berries. Cream butter and 3/4 cup sugar; add milk and mix well. Add flour, which has been sifted with baking powder and salt. Gently spread over berries. TOPPING Mix the 1 cup of sugar, cornstarch and salt. Sprinkle over the dough. Pour boiling water over all. Bake at 375 degrees F for one hour. SERVING Serve warm, plain, with ice cream or with whipped cream.
