Cranberry Biscuits

20 oz. all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 oz. sugar
1 1/4 oz. baking powder
3 oz. dried cranberries
7 oz. shortening
13 oz. cranberry juice
13 oz. milk

Cut shortening into dry ingredients until the largest particles are the size of peas - no smaller. Make a well in the center.


Add liquids to the dry mixture. Knead 10-15 times. Roll out 1/2" thick on floured surface. Cut with 2" cutter. Bake at 425F., 15-20 minutes.


Makes 2 dozen biscuits.
