Marinated Bean Salad
1 can French string beans
1 (8 oz.) can English peas
1 sm. jar pimento
2 stalks celery, diced
1 lg. onion, separated into rings
3/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. vinegar
1/3 c. oil
1 tsp. salt
Drain vegetables and combine. Mix sugar, vinegar, oil and salt until sugar dissolves. Pour over vegetables. Cover and store in refrigerator 6 hours or overnight. Drain to serve.
