Bean Soup

1 lb. dried navy beans
7 c. water
2 c. diced ham
1/2 c. minced onion
Dash pepper
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes

Rinse beans; heat beans and water to boiling, boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat; cover and let stand one hour. Then add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until beans are soft.:
