Microwave Char Siu
1 4-pound pork butt
1/2 c Honey
1 tb Red coloring
1 ts Chinese five spice
1/4 c Thick soy sauce
1 ts Salt
1 tb Oyster sauce
2 tb Red bean curd
1/4 c Sherry
3 Cloves garlic; minced
2 c Brown sugar
Slice pork into pieces about 2" x 6". Combine all the ingredients and
marinate overnight. Arrange five or six pieces of pork in a single
layer, fat side down on a microwave roasting rack in a flat glass
baking dish. Microwave on HIGH for 10 minutes; turn pork, fat side
up, and baste. Microwave on ROAST (low) for 12 to 15 minutes. Let
stand 5 minutes before slicing.
