Bean Dip

1 lb Pinto beans; * see note
1/3 c Vegetable shortening
1 Onion; chopped
5 Cl Garlic; minced
4 oz Green chilies; chopped
1 1/2 ts Cumin
3/4 ts Cayenne pepper
1 1/2 ts Salt

* cooked and drained with liquid reserved

Fry and mash beans in shortening. Add rest of ingredients and heat.
