Beans on Board

1 cn Pinto beans; rinsed & drained
2 tb Wheat germ
2 tb Wheat germ
1 c Barbecue sauce
1/4 c Onion (optional); chopped
1 Clove garlic (optional); minced
4 sl Bread; toasted
4 sl American cheese

If using onion & garlic, saute in a little oil in a skillet until tender. Add pinto beans and mix well. Add barbecue sauce and wheat germ, mix well, and cook until thoroughly heated. Place hot bean mixture on top of each slice of toast and then top with cheese slices and allow to melt somewhat.
