Bean Pot Lentils
1 1/2 c Water
1 c Dry lentils (8 oz)
1/2 c Chopped onion
1/2 ts Salt
16 oz Can tomatoes, cut-up
2 tb Brown sugar
1 tb Chili sauce
1/2 ts Dry mustard
In saucepan bring water, lentils, onion and salt to boiling. Simmer,
covered, 30 min. Transfer to crockery cooker; stir in undrained
tomatoes, sugar, chili sauce and mustard. Cover; cook on low-heat
setting for 8-10 hours. Uncover; cook on high heat setting for 30
min. Stir before serving.
