1 lb Navy beans
1 ts Salt
2 ts Dry mustard
1/2 lb Bacon, sliced 1/4 thick
1/2 c Brown sugar, packed
1/4 c Molasses
1 md Onion, chopped
2 c Water, * see note
* Use the water from boiling the beans
Wash beans and soak them overnight. Drain and add 6 cups water. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes. Drain and save cooking water. Put beans and 2 cups of water in slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients.
Cook 10 hours on low or 4 hours on high. (Better if cooked slow. More water from boiling beans can be added if they get dry. )
