Beef and Beans

1 lb Beans, pinto, dried
6 c Water; cold
1/2 lb Salt pork; cut up
1 lb Beef, chuck steak; 1" cubed
1/2 ts Pepper, red; crushed
1 Onions; chopped
2 clove Garlic cloves; minced
6 oz Tomato paste
1 1/2 tb Chili powder
1 ts Salt
1 ts Cumin seed
1/2 ts Marjoram leaves


Soak beans in water overnight. Brown salt pork in skillet or in the slow cooker if you have that type.

Combine the soaked beans with water into the slow cooker along with the browed salt pork and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 9-10 hours.
